The University of Scranton Small Business Development Center is proud to feature one of its clients, Babunya’s, as they launch their newest product, Babunya’s Venison Samosas. The venison is a Pennsylvania farm raised red deer, otherwise called red stag. The venison is cooked and seasoned with their Original Family Recipe Gourmet Spice, then filled into a round dough pocket, which can then be fried in oil or baked.
Babunya’s Venison Samosas are available locally at Alfonso’s Restaurant, Scranton, PA, or you can buy it online at www.babunyas.com. It can be shipped frozen anywhere in the country.
Babunya’s will be kicking off the new year showcasing their products at the Farm Show in Harrisburg, PA, in January, where they will be featured as celebrity chefs. Babunya’s venison samosas will be sold at the Eastern Outdoor Sportsmen Show in February.
The SBDC was able to assist Marlen and Tom Kostiw of Babunya’s, as they opened their food business at the Kitchen Incubator facility at the Carbondale Technology Transfer Center, Carbondale, PA. We assisted them by providing business start-up information, licensing information and business planning services.
