On Saturday the City of Scranton will be a wave of green, as an estimated 100,000 people flock to the city for the annual St. Patrick’ Day parade. If small business owners play their cards right, they should be seeing green in their cash register’s as well.
Parade goers will be spending a lot of money in local bars, restaurants, and hotels. However if these business owners are clever with their marketing, they should find useful ways to generate repeat business from these customers.
The key is trying to get as much information as possible from these customers while they are in town. Businesses can have contests, giveaways, hand out coupons, etc. all in attempt to capture names, phone numbers, & email addresses.
Today Social Media presents great real-time opportunities to allow customers to participate in contests, all while helping to capture customer data. Once in hand, this data provides a small business owner with future marketing opportunities.
