The University of Scranton Small Business Development Center is proud to announce the opening of another local business, Mala’s Roots and Shoots Daycare and Preschool located in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The SBDC was able to assist Mala Chaddha as she planned to open her business. The Center worked with Ms. Chaddha on her business plan and financial projections. She used this information to obtain financing to start Mala’s Roots and Shoots Daycare and Preschool. In addition, the center was able to assist Ms. Chaddha secure funding.
After working for many years in the daycare industry as a certified teaching professional, Ms. Chaddha wanted to fulfill her lifelong dream of owning a daycare and preschool. Roots and Shoots Daycare and Preschool is licensed by the state of Pennsylvania to provide daycare to 25 children. They provide before and after school care, as well as daycare for infants and toddlers. Ms. Chaddha also offers a preschool program to children ages three and four.
