National Mentoring Month is observed the entire month of January. When looking to start your own small business, finding a mentor to look up and reach out to during the process is one of the best decisions you can make! Mentors can help us to see areas where we are weak, as well as provide information and knowledge that we may not have due to their extensive experience. The best part of all about having a mentor is they are your own personal cheerleader. They are constanly offering encouragement and keep us going, often believing in us more than we believe in ourselves.
If you think you could be a mentor to someone else, this month would be a great opportunity to do so! There are tons of students, entrepreneurs, and even accomplished people that could use a mentor in their life. If you have successfully opened a small business you have more mentoring power than you think! Many people would love to have you in their corner, both because you are filled with knowledge that they can utilize and are definitely resilient!
