The University of Scranton Small Business Development Center is excited to announce the kickoff of America’s PrepareAthon!
The Federal Emergency Management Agency designed this semi-annual, week-long, community-based campaign in an effort to increase emergency awareness, preparedness and resilience. It focuses on shared responsibility and will highlight the planning and cooperation necessary to initiate effective action in times of disaster.
As the week begins, we want to remind you that Pennsylvania Small Business Development Centers are dedicated to helping to prepare small business owners to endure through disruption. The University of Scranton Small Business Development Center is proud to be one of over five million nationwide participants in this program. Throughout the week, we will be bringing you information on how you can mitigate the impacts of disasters that could happen in your community, focusing on the four universal building blocks of preparedness highlighted in The Ready Campaign: Be Informed, Make a Plan, Build a Kit and Get Involved.
