Donna Simpson
Consultant Manager
Donna has been a member of the SBDC staff since 1993.
She
holds a Bachelor's Degree from
Auburn University, and an MBA from
Wilkes University, concentrated in Accounting and Finance.
Prior to working at the SBDC, she spent several years working for a small accounting firm
where she gained experience in accounting and taxation.
She is certified in “Quickbooks,” and
is a member of
Sleeter
Group's Certified Quickbooks Consultant Network.
Donna is also a
certified instructor of the NxLeveL™ Entrepreneurial Training Program.
Many
of Donna’s clients come to her for assistance in the areas of accounting, recordkeeping, financial
analysis, start-up, loan packaging, and economic development.
Donna
also manages the staff of
undergraduate and graduate research assistants here at the SBDC. In addition to her role as Consultant Manager,
Donna coordinates the
Woman Entrepreneur Award Program and is a member
of the
Susquehanna
County
Chamber of Commerce. She works with clients in Susquehanna
county through our outreach office located at the Susquehanna
County Planning Commission.
Donna
is a graduate of the
Leadership Lackawanna class of 2001,
and was named one of the Top 25 Women in Business in NEPA by the
NEPA
Business Journal in 2003.
